Last week, college football officials agreed to eliminate eight-team and 16-team playoff proposals, but settled on very little else. They concluded that either playoff would diminish the regular season and/or harm the bowls. BCS officials and conference commissioners are scheduled to meet in Chicago again in June. The only thing that is known for sure is that playoffs will happen.
